Performance Companies
Dancers interested in joining a Vitacca performance company must audition for review and acceptance. Auditions are held annually from April through August– check out our Audition Page for updates.
VITACCA STUDIO COMPANY
The Vitacca Studio Company is designed for advanced pre-professional dancers ages 10–18 (pointe work required) and offers performance opportunities, weekly rehearsals, group coaching sessions and consideration for competitive events. Dancers are required to train exclusively within Vitacca Dance’s Technical Divisions: AC, A/B, C, D or Accelerated beginning in the Fall term.
RESIDENT ARTIST PROGRAM
The Resident Artist Program (RAP) offers dancers a holistic approach to training and artistic development in a personal and professional environment with leading dance professionals. Our 2023–24 program offers an additional focus on dance composition with Resident Artist Melody Mennite and RAP Director Andrea D. Shelley.
VITACCA BALLET YOUTH ENSEMBLE (New!)
Vitacca Ballet Youth Ensemble (VBYE) is a pre-professional, classically-focused performance company designed for advanced youth. Dancers ages 10–13 are selected by audition and train/rehearse in the Vitacca School. The season includes mentorship meetings, seasonal showcases, competitive events, opportunity to train with leading industry professionals, and Vitacca’s annual Dance Soiree in May. Select dancers are invited to attend YAGP and ADC/IBC.
YAPC
As a preparatory company, Vitacca’s Young Artists Performance Company (YAPC) cultivates young dancers in an enriching environment through both technical training and performance opportunities. Dancers ages 8–12 are selected by audition and train/rehearse in the Vitacca Vocational School or Children's Programs. The season will include two showcases and/or competitive events, two community performances, and Vitacca’s annual Dance Soiree in May.
